Ability Information

Hey hey, what would One Piece be without abilities? Not fun, I tell you what.

Abilities on this site (IE: devil fruit, elemental attacks for a sword, special bullets, etc.) must be registered and approved. If you wish to register an ability, fill out the following template for a staff member to review. When making an ability, be sure to detail everything it is capable of (up to its highest potential), and the staff will determine at which control you unlock each ability. (All abilities fall under the control stat.)

[Please bear in mind that if you are going to have an Ability Branch based off of weapon combat, you will need to purchase that weapon before filling out your Ability Branch application. Upon purchase of your weapon, you need to supply a link to it at the top of your Ability Branch application]

Keep in mind that there are three types of fruit, and only humans can access them all. If your ability is a fruit, it will be added to the Grand List of Fruits after its approval, and your character will no longer be able to swim in the sea or touch Seastone.

How many Ability Branches can a user have? Simple, one per tier. Beginners will have two, Semi-Elite will have three, and Elites will have four. Keep in mind, however, that you cannot have more than two ranges. (For example, if you have a short and a mid range Ability Branch, you cannot have a long range Ability Branch.)

Below is a list of Ability types you can use to create your own unique Ability Branch and techniques of said Branch. Bear in mind that you can create a custom type but it will be modded a bit more harshly. There is also the banned aspects of fruits/abilities/inventions list, and a list of canon fruit and if they are taken or not. All of these applications must be posted in the Ability Creation section for approval.

Martial Arts

People with this Ability Branch have spent years honing their bodies and focusing on their inner soul, thanks to this they can boost their attributes and senses. These people are hand to hand fighters and are no strangers to combat, they will often get into the middle of the fray when it occurs. In terms of combat these are the front-line fighters and will often be the first to fight on a crew.

Fishman Karate

Users of this ability are those who practiced the fabled art of Fishman Karate, they fight primarily with their hands and at higher levels can use water to their advantage. While normally only fishmen can learn this it is not unheard of for a human to be able to learn it if they are taught from a young age.

Rokushiki

A government taught Martial art used primarily from the CP-9. It is very secret and not much is known about it.

One Sword Style

Users of this Ability type are people who use one sword or another type of bladed one handed weapon. They can add elemental attacks and create projectile like attacks from the force of their swings at higher level. This is one of the most common Ability types and most fighters have this skill on their belt along with their sword.

Two Sword Style

People with this ability are adept at using two blades giving them a bit more versatility with their attacks. They can add elemental attacks and create projectile like attacks from the force of their swings at higher levels just like One Sword Style users. This is not as common as one sword style but relatively common among higher class fighters.

Multi-Sword Style

This Ability type allows people to use multiple swords in battle, this is a rare Ability type and not many swordsmen wish to go this far. However this does allow for more damage and more attacks than the Two or One Sword Style due to the greater number of blades. Like the One and Two Sword Styles they can add elemental attacks and create projectile like attacks from the force of their swing at higher levels of control.

Gunman

An important thing to note is that Gunman cannot form haki onto their bullets, and they can only shoot up to one hundred meters until they have 400 control, from there every 4 points of control equal one extra meter they can be accurate at. If they shoot for a target beyond that range they will never hit them. Users of this Ability type may use any sort of flintlock gun, hand canon, regular canons, etc. They cannot use more advanced weapons than that.

Weapon Specialist

People who take this Ability type can use any sort of weapon (except for guns) they so choose from a random playing card to a two handed battle axe. This Ability type is for people who wish to use an exotic weapon or be a jack of all trades in terms of weapon proficiency. They can enhance their weapons and cause them to have abilities through the use of techniques. In terms of combat these people are all over the place depending on the fighting style of each person.

Beast Tamer

People who choose this ability will be allowed to bring animals into battle with them. Their level of control will dictate which type of creature they can domesticate and train for battle. Those who take this Ability Branch type often let their pets do the fighting for them. People can train many different animals including but not limited to lions, bears, wolves, birds, tigers, elephants, etc.

Swashbuckler

Swashbucklers fight dirty, they are gritty people used to inter-ship combat and seek to put down their foes with a series of tricks of 'dick moves'. They can develop techniques for both their flintlock pistol and sword. However they will never have more than half the range on their pistol as gun-men do when they start out. They are often closer ranged fighters and more focused on seeking one person out in a series during a battle. They cannot put Haki onto their bullets.

Sniper

Like Gunman, and Swashbucklers, Snipers cannot form haki onto their bullets, and they can only shoot up to one hundred meters until they have 400 control, from there every 2 points of control equal one extra meter they can be accurate at. If they shoot for a target beyond that range they will never hit them. Users of this Ability type may use any sort of flintlock rifles, and at higher levels can use bolt action guns with rifling. They cannot use more advanced weapons than that, and they must sacrifice one Ability Branch to be able to use this Ability type.

Doctor

Doctors are people who focus solely on healing others, they can either be in the middle of battle or hold back until the fighting is done. They can also design drugs for others to use in battle, and can cure poisons or illnesses. Doctor is a very useful Ability Branch and at least one crew member from each crew is recommended to have this as one of their Abilities. This is a support class and as such none of it's techniques are able to be used for offense or defense.

Chef

The type of characters who use this type of Ability are ones who can cook, however unlike the run of the line cooks they can cook dishes that will heal fatigue and wounds and can give attribute bonuses at higher levels. This is a support class and as such it has no direct connection to combat.

Leg Fighter

[/b]People with this type of Ability Branch will use their legs over their hands and elbows instead using the latter as planting limbs to increase the power of their kicks. Their techniques focus solely on kicking and increasing the damage output of their legs, they can also use other forms of techniques involving their legs when they have high enough control.

Wrestler

A wrestler focuses on grappling moves and enjoys getting in close with their opponent, they are usually extremely strong and most of their moves focus on pinning their opponent or disabling them. Their techniques are often momentum based, and once they bring their opponent to the ground the battle is usually won then and there.

Invention Information

Robots

Those with the invention class of robot have devoted their scientific journey into the path of robotics. Due to this they can create anything from the smallest robot to a giant sized robot if their control is high enough. Scientist with this Ability Branch usually rely on their robots to do the fighting and at higher levels can create androids. Of course robots are like fruit users in the fact that they cannot swim and will instead shut down if they are submerged in the ocean or a lake deep enough.

Cyborg Enhancements

This invention class is usually used by the Cyborg race almost exclusively, it deals with adding enhancements to the body of the user or to other Cyborgs. This can be any type of part added onto them and their usefulness is determined by their control. They can create new eyes, ears, have a helicopter propeller sprout out of their back, etc. Users of this Ability Branch usually fit in the best with crews that have multiple Cyborgs so they can use their techniques on more than just themselves.

Vehicles

These scientists who work on vehicles make great shipbuilders and repairers, they can make a plethora of vehicles small and large depending on their control they can even create flying vehicles. Scientists with this Ability Branch will often pilot their own inventions and outfit their crew's ship with defensive shells, systems, offensive weaponry, and the like. Scientists of this Ability often are not found alone and do well when there are tough close range fighters in their crew.

Devices

People in this Inventing Class are pretty much the jack of all trades invention class, they can make devices for anyone to use and at high enough levels can make log poses. They often make their own 'weapons' but usually stay away from fighting. While they may seem the least useful of the Inventing Classes they are rather versatile. In fact, they can create small vehicles, devices for their cyborg friends, and robots 6 to 12 inches tall all at higher levels of control.

Fruit Information


Okay so on this site if you want a fruit you will have to register it, and you will have to have it approved. Now before you go complaining that you can't be creative, you can. There are literally millions of fruit to change from, all you need to do is fill out the template and then you will follow the examples. When making a fruit make sure to detail all the things it can do, and a mod (probably Gin) will determine at which control you unlock each ability. There are three types of fruit, and only humans can access them all. Once your fruit it approved it will be added to the grand list of fruits, and your character will no longer be able to swim in the sea or touch Seastone.

Paramecia
Short-Long


The most common of the three classes, users of Paramecia class Devil Fruits gain superhuman physical abilities or powers, such as shock wave generation and locking onto targets. Other users can alter features of their bodies or their environment, such as a body of blades and levitating objects. Finally, there are some users that can manipulate and generate some kinds of substances, such as wax and poison.

Zoan
Short-Long


The users of Zoan class Devil Fruits gain the ability to transform into an animal (and acquire every ability affiliated with said animal). The user can also transform into a human-beast hybrid form or twin-beast hybrid. There are Zoan Devil Fruits not only for common animals, but for prehistoric or ancient animals and mythological creatures as well (ancient and mythological are rarer, with mythological said to be even rarer than some Logia Devil Fruits)[if you want one, keep tuned]

Logia
Short-Long


The rarest of the three classes, users of Logia class Devil Fruits gain the ability to transform themselves into an element (making them intangible or indestructible, the exception being the darkness Logia power which keeps the human body and makes the user more vulnerable towards pain). They also gain every ability related to that element and gain the skill to disperse, control and rejoin any part of their bodies while conscious and in control of their powers (including explosions, bullet wounds or cuts). Logia users can move every part of their transformed bodies while in element form.

Technique Template

Use this template for your ability's techniques. You can have as many as your mind desires, so long as they make sense for your Ability Branch. And of course, are approved. Please place the techniques in the order you believe they would be unlocked. Ex: Early would be something with say 100 control, middle 350, late 700 control.
